i had to create my character as fast as i could so i couldnt really think about it and analyze everything i wanted. I finally decided that my character would be a mixture of cupid and aphrodite (superhero) my power would be to make people fall in love between them and with me only when i want to.
in one of our drama meetings i founded out that one girl (villan) had a power similar to mine, but made people fall in love with her by blowing them a kiss, we talked and figured out that we maybe cousins or sisters one being the mean one and the other the good one.
we havent decided yet what is our relationship, but because we dont look alike at all we could be cousins.
my costume could be an acient greece goddess dress, all white with one shoulder only, with lentejuelas in gold or silver and a long heavy drop so as to make it look more like and aphrodite look.
Other idea was to break the stereotypes and make my look dark and a little bit emo, it would look good because of my light hair and very white skin, it would make a very cool contrast with the dark clothes, on the other hand my "cousin" which has dark hair could use more "angelical" in a way, look, all white and shades of light colors , that would break expectations and would make the children think.
i would need to talk to my partner and discuss how she plans to dress her character and tell her my ideas.
maybe the change of colors and the break of stereotypes will change of sides our characters at some point of the play. or ... could it make it confusing for the children who expect a superhero in white shades and a villan in dark ones??

interesting reflections here - now i'd like to see in a future blog how much of this went through, and what changes had to happen
