It was difficult for me to find information about the stages and scenery of that time. I wasnt really that interested in the subject i had to research.
What i founded about the staging and scenery was mainly form information robbie gave me. A book and papers. The staging was simple and the theaters were situated on the back of "quintas" that were a group of houses with a patio on the centre of the houses. The plays had to be done in verse and the actors had to memorize the lines with the help of the intonation and the rhythm.
It was difficult to work with verse for me because the language was very formal and had strange synonyms that makes the phrase hear more beautiful.
Another thing that made it difficult was that because of the order of the words and the way the comas were used, the intonation of a type of song sticks to the words making it sound as a lame poem.
Today i had to say the monologue of Laurencia and i hadn't memorize all of it, so it was very difficult, besides i didint understand what it meant. The intonation for me wasn't to difficult, because i had worked on that last year. But the intention, that was hard for me. When we said the monologue with our own words and could say what we understood, it was much easier. After that exercise i could really show the intention i had with that monologue.
good description of what you did but very little insight and analysis
