LA NI;A DE CERA
Maritza Nu;ez came to the school to explain to us her monologue and tell us something about her life as a dramaturga.
When i tried to read the monologue i didn’t understand a thing! But as we read it with miss Alicia and Maritza i actually enjoyed it. When they read it with intonation it made sense, the character of the girl interpreted her mother, her boyfriend and sometimes-other people, which weren’t really important.
When she talks as two characters as once its very confusing.
When we asked her the final questions, she didn’t answer with a concrete sentence, she diffused in branches and talked and talked endlessly for hours without stopping, not even answering the first question. I really didn’t learn much about her concerning play writing, but I sure learned some good life advises.
golpe... golpe!
well what could i say...
the play was not bad, it had all the possible performance techniques.
Before we entered the theatre two actors divided the audience in two lines one had a sticker that said home sweet home and the other one said go home. I didnt understand what was its purpose, as we entered the theatre both groups were sitted on different sides of the theatre.
The music was been played a live and interactuaba with the actors, they communicated back and forth. It started with a monologue which i didnt fully understood, i think it had something to do with a boy leaving his house because his father didnt want him to go to war. The five actors represented one character at a time, even though they were enough to divide the characters, they didnt.
As the actors played the boy, they stand in a diagonal line and acted in unison, the same actions. This made it emphasied the actions of the boy.
The play was in spanish, spanish from spain.
The actors mixed with the audience and made us fight with each other. The group that had the sticker of home sweet home had to scream to the other “team” of go home and the one group that screamed stgronger won.
The actors explained to us that we were like cows in a farm, we do what we are told. We sitted were they told us to and did what they told as to do.
I think it was good to mix with the audience because it Wole me up, because i was falling asleep.
The performance techniques were so good that made the play obvious and boring.

arrow!!!!
in one of our drama meetings i founded out that one girl (villan) had a power similar to mine, but made people fall in love with her by blowing them a kiss, we talked and figured out that we maybe cousins or sisters one being the mean one and the other the good one.
we havent decided yet what is our relationship, but because we dont look alike at all we could be cousins.
my costume could be an acient greece goddess dress, all white with one shoulder only, with lentejuelas in gold or silver and a long heavy drop so as to make it look more like and aphrodite look.
Other idea was to break the stereotypes and make my look dark and a little bit emo, it would look good because of my light hair and very white skin, it would make a very cool contrast with the dark clothes, on the other hand my "cousin" which has dark hair could use more "angelical" in a way, look, all white and shades of light colors , that would break expectations and would make the children think.
i would need to talk to my partner and discuss how she plans to dress her character and tell her my ideas.
maybe the change of colors and the break of stereotypes will change of sides our characters at some point of the play. or ... could it make it confusing for the children who expect a superhero in white shades and a villan in dark ones??
