As always it was difficult to understand the play, but eventually i realized that it was a mixture of several plays they had done.
The play had three parts, the three of them included music (played by themselves) singing (by themselves also) and talking. The way they sang was amazing, they didn't use microphones and they're voices were so loud that my ears started hurting, it was incredible.
i liked very much the part were one of the actresses acted as one of pataclaun's characters and talked like us, and talked about things that happens to us in a simple language, one everybody uses. I think that is really important because compared to the parts were they talked about i dont know want in a type of speaking that no one else uses its boring, and it was hard for me not to fall asleep.
What i really dislike about the acting in yuyachkani is that is very dry, in some way, i cant conect with the message they are sending, im not saying they are bad actors, NO WAY, i think they are great, but is not the type of theatre i enjoy, like cocina y zona de servicio, which no one liked, but i did. my personal taste for plays are much more of this time, more dinamic and easy to understand.
i think they would have been more clear in their acting if they've had had costumes, not just a simple outfit in black and white, because as the costume changes the intention of the actor and the characteristics of a characters also changes. i think a more clear costume of the character they were representing would have been a good idea. Not a whole costume, but at least one prop or one piece of cloth, like the one that used the one actress that played pataclaun who changed her character completely only by putting on a red nose.
Of course it would have been much better when they changed their costume completely like one of the actresses changed completely to act as another character(one that i dont remember right now, but she came to school and showed us that character)
if the actors would wore a different costume for each character, would the understanding of the audience (mostly people who think like me) be more clear and adecuate?
